Livin' on a prayer

So, there's a praying mantis on my wall. A tiny one, around half the length of my thumb.

For some reason I find it really cool.

And hopefully it's praying for me to get into TJC via appeal (directly is a reaaaaaally long shot).

Wow. Phone fail.

So I sent a message to someone, and when I got a reply, the screen was still saying 'Sending message...'

Seriously.

"Dream, when the day is through

Dream, and it might come true
Things never are as bad as they seem
So dream, dream, dream..."
- Dream by The Pied Pipers

I was wondering. When you dream of something, do you actually dream the situation or do you dream of the concept of it?

Like, if you dreamt that you made a pretty cool song but when you wake up you know you made that song up but you just can't remember, did you really make the song in your dream or did your brain just say 'Okay, you. You made a cool song. It sounded just a bit like this other song.'?

Then that would explain why one can dream about the rest of one's life in just one night. Because your brain just tells you 'Okay, you. So all these things happen, just that this takes place after this and so on.' and could actually think up the whole dream in an instant and just release it to sleeping-conscious you in the order that it wants to.

An example. Your brain thinks up that you have a lamb, a school and that your name is Mary. Then, it thinks up that you brought that lamb to school. After all this planning, then it tells it to the part of you that 'sees' the dream. So in other words, it writes the story and all in an instant and you just read it afterward. And that you don't actually see the stuff you saw in the dream, only you think you saw.

Not sure if you get that, but it was just floating around in my head earlier. Probably because I knew I sang a song in my previous dream but I couldn't remember the lyrics. Only the rough tune, which was based on another song.

This, people, is why I think I'll do better in KI than GP.

If you want to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe

Sorry for the lack of updates, I have no reason or excuse for it.

Usually I'd update even if/because I'm bored, but couldn't really be bothered lately.

ANYWAY. I've let go of Victoria and am really looking forward and hoping to get into Temasek. And be there in time for the orientation too.

So...in case you didn't know, I'll be appealing into TJ with...well...something you won't expect.

But I do hope I get to join Rock Climbing as a second CCA.

So, yeah.

Oh, I got to see the eclipse yesterday. 'Twas pretty and almost complete. Had to look through some X-ray films though. Tried looking at it with my naked eyes and it looked like a normal ball of light.

Didn't get any powers though.

K I guess that's it then. Some other time, my dear readers!

Everything in life is only for now

K so the last few days have been pretty weird for me.

I was and still am pretty darn disappointed in myself for my results, even though they're not so bad.

So yeah. Who would've thought that Azri of all people would be so sad about results?

Or maybe it's not really the results. But, well, the results caused it anyway.

So anyway, I decided that if I love her, I'd let her go.

This 'her' being Victoria.

Junior College.

So...Temasek, here I come (whoop-dee-fuckin-doo).

I am disappointed in myself

But there's no sense crying over every mistake.
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

- Still Alive from Portal

Funny, 'cause I'm feeling pretty horrible right now.

It's like life is mocking me.

At times like these I just feel like dissolving into nothingness.

Heartwarming

So I got people to sign my yearbook. Some of the stuff that some people wrote really touched me and made me all the more reluctant to leave TK life.

You guys are awesome and I love you all!

My December

So, I didn't do as well as I expected and hoped for 'O' Levels.

I was feeling pretty sad and hopeless for a while but not anymore!

For I have a plan.

The Music Of The Night

I absolutely totally wholeheartedly entirely love Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom Of The Opera.

It is so, so awesome and watched bits of the movie version and it made me feel all emotional and sent tingles running through my being.

Seriously, I cannot find words that can convey how much I love this musical.

The bad of the world is hard to hear when in your ear a banana cheers

People call it, annoying. I call it high-larious and random. I'd love to have friends as cute as them.

If you don't know what I'm referring to, here are three videos.

Hope y'all enjoyed that. I, for one, love it.

Happy New(b) Year!

Hoots and hollers.

Here's to an awesome 2009. I hope that I'll be able to maintain, improve and strengthen my relationships with my friends this year and at the same time forge new ones with other people. And I hope that everything that happens will be for the best for all of my friends and myself.

Also, I ask forgiveness for any wrong that I have done for anyone. For anyone who wants my forgiveness, you have it as long as you're sincere about it.
